The 2005 USHA One-Wall Nationals marked a milestone
for the sport of Handball. This year was by far one of the most
competitive tournament with most of the divisions going to
tie-breakers. This was the 1st repeat in the Men's Open since Eddie
Maisonet did it in 1996. This year we also had two film crews
recording all the action. Ben Thum (producer of the Handball movie
"Alley Cracker") and crew were working on a promotional Handball DVD,
and ESPN 2 were working on a segment for a new sports show which will
air footage of this years tournament, HandballCity will keep you
updated on show times and release dates. There was also a
special Handball Hall of Fame presentation, Ruby Obert, Carl Obert,
Oscar Obert, Joel Wisotsky, Artie Reyer, and Al Torres all received
replicas of their portraits that hang in the USHA Handball Hall of
Fame in Tucson, AZ.
